Ingredients
Pasta Bake
- 2 cans tuna
- 1/2 cup corn
- 2 cups, uncooked pasta
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 cups, grated white cheddar cheese
Bread Crumb Topping
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon, melted butter

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350.
Step 2
Cook pasta, of your choice, until al dente. Drain, set aside.
Step 3
Drain both cans of tuna. Using a fork, scoop out tuna into a casserole baking dish.
Step 4
If using frozen corn, thaw and drain, if using canned, drain and rinse. Add to baking dish.
Step 5
In medium sauce pan, melt butter, add flour and mix well making sure there are no lumps. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and parsley, mix well.
Step 6
Gradually add milk a little at a time, smoothing out mixture. Once all milk has been added, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Sauce will begin to thicken. Boil for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and add 1 1/4 cup of the grated cheese. Mix well.
Step 7
Add pasta to baking dish, pour cheese sauce on top and mix well.
Step 8
Sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.
Step 9
Mix together bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon melted butter, until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of cheese.
Step 10
Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve hot.
Chef's Notes
You can use peas, or even cooked broccoli instead of the corn.
If you prefer a cheesier, saucier dish, double the amount of the cheese sauce. Can also add extra cheese on top.
Make sure to not over cook your pasta, as it will finish cooking in the baking process.
