  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 3 tablespoons, melted butter
  • 4 sandwich buns

spicy mayonnaise dressing

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt
  • black pepper

How To11 Steps

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375. Pour a tablespoon or two of oil into bottom of 9 x 13 glass baking dish.

Step 2

For best results flatten each chicken breast with a meat mallet. Set aside.

Step 3

Place flour in small dish, set aside. Beat eggs in separate dish, set aside.

Step 4

In medium bowl add bread crumbs, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, pepper, oregano, parsley flakes, and mix well. Set aside.

Step 5

While preparing chicken, place baking dish in oven.

Step 6

Coat chicken in flour, then dredge in egg, and coat in bread crumbs. Set aside on a clean plate. Once all pieces have been coated thoroughly, place them into HOT oil in baking dish.

Step 7

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, turning once, or until chicken reaches a temperature of 165 F. Remove chicken from oil, and place on a plate lined with paper towels, to soak up grease.

Step 8

Place each chicken breast on a baking sheet, top with one to two slice of ham, and one to two slices of Swiss cheese. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted.

Step 9

In small bowl mix together mayonnaise, Tabasco, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt and pepper(optional). Set aside.

Step 10

Butter sandwich buns and toast to a nice golden brown.

Step 11

Place chicken onto bottom of bun, top with mayo dressing, and other toppings you desire, such as tomato, and lettuce. Enjoy warm.
