Ingredients
Biscuits
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teass baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup, melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups, grated cheddar cheese
Topping
- 3 tablespoons, melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450.
Step 2
In a large bowl mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Set aside.
Step 3
In medium bowl mix together melted butter, and buttermilk. Pour buttermilk mixture into flour mixture, and mix well.
Step 4
Gently fold cheddar cheese into biscuit mixture.
Step 5
Using a lightly greased 1/4 cup measuring cup, fill with biscuit mixture, and scoop onto greased baking sheet.
Step 6
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 7
For the topping, mix together 3 tablespoons of melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley flakes.
Step 8
Once biscuits are fully cooked, remove from oven, and brush butter garlic mixture on the tops. Serve hot.
