Italian Meatballs

This simple Meatball recipe is great served with spaghetti, or as an appetizer at a party. In this recipe I stuffed each one with mozzarella cheese, but you can easily omit it.

  • 1 pound, ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian herbs
  • 1 ounce, cubed mozzarella cheese

How To5 Steps

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. 

Step 2

In medium bowl, mix together, ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, pepper, oregano, and Italian herbs. Mix well using your hand, until mixture pulls away from sides of bowl. 

Step 3

Take a small amount of mixture and flatten in the palm of your hand, place a cube of cheese in the middle. Press mixture around the cheese, and form a ball. 

Step 4

Roll mixture gently in your hand until you have a nice ball. Place in a greased baking dish.

Step 5

Bake meatballs for 30 minutes, turning about halfway through cooking time. Serve hot.

Chef's Notes

If you wish to omit the cheese, skip step 3, and just take a small amount of mixture, and roll into a ball.
