Ingredients
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 tablespoons tomato puree

Step 1
In medium saucepan add vegetable oil, and flour, mix well until smooth. Cook on medium heat until bubbly.
Step 2
Add tomato puree, smoothing mixture as you add. Add all your herbs and spices, and mix well.
Step 3
Slowly add your chicken broth, smoothing mixture, this will prevent lumps.
Step 4
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until thick. Use and serve hot, or cool completely and store in air tight container for 3 to 5 days.
