Not sure what to do with that left over roast beef? Why not make this yummy Beef dip recipe, for a quick and easy meal the whole family will love. Also known as French dips, this meal can be served in a variety of ways. Most people like the traditional way, on a toasted bun with a side of Au Jus for dipping. Other people prefer to add onions and peppers and cheese. Either way, you are bound to have a delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds, fully cooked roast beef
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • butter

How To4 Steps

Step 1

In medium sauce pan, add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. You can thicken slightly if you prefer, using a tablespoon of cornstarch and a tablespoon of water, mixed well together. Bring to a boil.

Step 2

Slice, or shred beef into small bite size pieces. Add to broth and allow to heat thoroughly.

Step 3

Lightly butter sandwich buns, and toast in oven. 

Step 4

With a slotted spoon, spoon beef onto toasted bun. Serve broth in small cup for dipping. Enjoy hot.



Chef's Notes

It is not necessary to thicken up the beef broth, but some people do prefer it. You can also use an Au Jus mix packet from the store. 
Add cheese or cooked onions and peppers for an added flavor.
