Ingredients
- 3 pounds rump roast
- 2 beef stock cubes
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1, chopped onion
- water
- 1 tablespoon oil

Step 1
Add to crock pot; beef stock cubes, and bay leaves.
Step 2
In large skillet heat oil.
Step 3
Coat roast with flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Brown all sides of roast in skillet. Place into crock pot.
Step 4
In same skillet, cook chopped onions, until translucent, add to crock pot.
Step 5
Add water to crock pot, until it covers about half the roast. Cook on medium for 4 to 6 hours.
