Classic English side dish perfect for roast dinners; can be made larger to serve as bowls for stews and soups.

1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
as needed butter
Preheat oven to 425°F. Add a small amount of butter to each cup of a muffin pan.
Mix flour, salt, milk, and eggs. Place muffin pan in oven and allow butter to get very hot.
Quickly pour batter into each cup. Bake for 25 minutes until risen and golden brown.
