Serve this fried rice with any of your favorite stir fry dish.

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 chicken stock cube
1/2 cup rice
1 cup water
1 egg
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup peas
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Melt butter, brown rice briefly, add stock cube and seasonings with water. Bring to boil, cover, simmer until tender. Cool completely.
Heat oil in wok, scramble egg, combine with peas, cooked rice, and soy sauce. Heat through and serve.
