Roast dinner doesn't have to be a hard job. Why stand in the kitchen for hours, when you can throw this roast in the crock pot, and let it do the cooking for you.

3 pounds rump roast
2 beef stock cubes
2 bay leaves
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 chopped onion
as needed water
1 tablespoon oil
Add beef stock cubes and bay leaves to crock pot.
Heat oil in large skillet.
Coat roast with flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; brown all sides in skillet; transfer to crock pot.
Cook chopped onions in same skillet until translucent; add to crock pot.
Add water until it covers approximately half the roast; cook on medium setting for 4-6 hours.
