2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons melted butter (topping)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (topping)
1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes (topping)
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper in large bowl.
Combine melted butter and buttermilk; mix into dry ingredients.
Gently fold cheddar cheese into biscuit mixture.
Using greased 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop onto greased baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Mix 3 tablespoons melted butter with garlic powder and parsley flakes.
Brush topping mixture on baked biscuits; serve hot.
