Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 packs, drained hot dog
- wooden skewers

Step 1
Preheat deep fryer to 350. Drain hot dogs and allow to dry.
Step 2
In large bowl mix together cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, sugar, baking powder, egg, and milk. Add a little extra milk if too thick.
Step 3
Cut hot dogs in half, and insert skewers halfway through hot dog.
Step 4
Coat hot dog with cornmeal mixture, and tap to allow extra to drip off.
Step 5
Submerge corn dog into hot oil until golden brown, about 4 to 6 minutes. Turning the corn dog for even cooking.
Step 6
Allow to drain on paper towels before serving.
