  • 3 pounds roasting beef
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 2 bay leaf

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Put oil into roasting pan, coat the roast in oil. Sprinkle on your herbs and seasonings. Bake uncovered for about 90 minutes for a medium roast. Use a meat thermometer to get the desired temperature. Allow roast to set for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve hot.

Chef's Notes

Allow your roast to sit out at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking. 
Add any spices or herbs that you prefer.
